What I need help with

My background as an entrepreneur

My current challenges

I want to own a brick & mortar (medical offices said they'd send clients to me if I'm set up with a location). I want to own a sophisticated, easy to use on-line store I want to learn how to apply and win federal/govt contracts which will help the business financially and help to get a brick and mortar so that I can open and serve those needing specialty fitting services, spa services, etc.

I have won 2 business competitions (Massachusetts Entrepreneur Training Program in 2007, Balsa Foundation in 2015)

I live paycheck to paycheck as an UBER/LYFT driver and Brand Ambassador (Income 2019 $8,500) and need to know how to get the business off the ground

I need a better solid PITCH to pitch my business to anyone especially those I want to work with (oncologists, LGBTQ community, cancer organizations, autism organizations, Alopecia organizations, etc.)

Actions I’ve taken so far

I am one of Missouri's Legislative Liaisons for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF) I'm registered as a W/MBE with the state of Missouri to win federal govt contracts I do have a business plan (it was last updated in 2018). I have social media pages on all the top social media platforms I have a Facebook page and store I have a Wix website page I have business cards and brochures I have an LLC I have a domain name (I don't use it) I have connected with the medical community I have a bank account I have accounts with vendors (and have ordered from 2 of them) I have selected an area in St. Louis, MO for the brick and mortar. I have met with a realtor. I have had up to 5 clients in the past. I have gone to several medical and fashion trade shows (MedTrade, MAGIC, Lingerie Americas, etc.) I have training as a Mastectomy fitter I have training as a Compression Garment Fitter I have training as a Medical Hair-Loss Fitter I'm currently enrolled Full-Time in Esthetics school I have a GoFund Me Page for my educational pursuits to get a certificate in furthering the esthetics/makeup *I've done the mobile service and door to door fitting services and it's tiring assisting folks who don't understand that they really need to have assisted devices to help them put on the doctor prescribed medical clothing but they don't have the rotation/dexterity in their fingers any longer...yet they don't want to pay the prices of for the garments nor the proper tools to make things easier on them.

I've done pop-ups and I've spoken at church's, YMCA's, etc. educating folks about my services and what the differences are between getting brown, black, tan or navy or white socks, tan or dark brown mastectomy breast forms....

My future goals

To open a brick & mortar in St. Louis, Boston, Las Vegas and eventually be a bigger chain to hospitals

To have a customized line of medical garments and 3-D/AI computerized fitting services

To hire at least 8 folks within the community to help with educating folks about their health and how to look great while wearing them.

One-stop shopping in a luxurious atmosphere for men, women and children.

Mostly EVERYTHING is focused at women. They've forgotten about the men and the children who have special needs as well.

My motivations to work with a mentor

I'm seeking to work with mentors who have run successful (NIAT $5m+) retailing (online, brick/mortar) and understand: Federal Government Contracting How to create a NEED How to EDUCATE potential clients and doctors through specialty marketing DMEPOS (Durable Medical Equipment Prosthetics, Orthotics, Supplies) Medical Fashion (as it is now) Medical accreditation Medical insurance HIPPA

About my venture

Salon RX, LLC Started 2020

After that time frame is up, Salon Rx, provides customized fittings for comfortable, fashionable medically prescribed garments along with other ancillary medical products.

Salon Rx provides online sales and a luxury boutique for men, women and children to visit for fittings, hairstyling, lymphatic massages and more. Privacy as it should be without a medicinal or overtly feminine feeling. Fashion from head to toe.
