What I need help with
My background as an entrepreneur
My current challenges
My mentor will help us to scale up our operation, business planning and fundraising. Also, they will be able to support us in identification of resources to enable us sustain our social impact project.Especially with regard to purification of or treatment of waste water for reuse in our project. Our project relies on regular water supply, that is why we are looking for insights with regard to water treatment technologies.I will also appreciate connections and networking with social impact programmes and organisations local and international.
Thank you all.
About my venture
Mukuru Water & Sanitation Project Started 2006
The project is operational and we are helping Mukuru slums residents in Nairobi City to access safe clean water and decent toilet facilities at an affordable fee. The project was implemented by local communities funded by European Union in collaboration with Government of Kenya under poverty eradication programme. We have been running our 8 Water,Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Projects amid critical operational and sustainability challenges. I would like to seek mentors involved in social entreprises for further inspiration and advice. We are seeking for advice on water treatment technologies that are affordable to enable us treat nearby Ngong river waters to sustain our project with supply of clean water. This is because the Nairobi water services provider rations the water leading to severe challenge of irregular water supply. This forces the community to walk long distance looking for water. The result is wasted economic hours by adults and lack of study time by students. Thank you.
