What I need help with

My background as an entrepreneur

My current challenges

  1. Zero use of our own e-commerce website. Website needs attention and creative inputs and advice.
  2. I have completely lost my confidence to run the business and going through massive mental stress. It has taken a hit on my creativity and productivity as well.
  3. Financially things are extremely bleak. How and what can I do to bring the changes and create passive income and let the cash flow begin.
  4. Though we have bagged some good opportunities (like FirstCry, Myntra, Ajio etc), also done some fabulous shows with India Kids Fashion Week in 2018 and 2019, yet we have not been able to capitalize.
  5. How to scale up my low cost product line (upcycled products from waste fabrics) to minimize capital cost and generate steady income.

Actions I’ve taken so far

  1. Minimized headcounts
  2. Detailed list and patterns of low cost products that can get manufactured by women working from home.
  3. List of NGOs, tailoring units and work from home women who have basic sewing skills
  4. Reach out to hospitals in-around my location for delivering new born baby clothing during lock down period (we have received some positive responses from 4 hospitals)
  5. Parallel service based business which is not dependent on other resources or skill hiring is immediately needed (I am certified ITIL expert and trainer and ISO auditor). I have skills that I can teach and make living during this period and can continue even post lock down.

My future goals

  1. Break even and Make sustained profits
  2. Scale up - Plus size clothing for children and Upcycled low cost product line
  3. Profitable www.asitattva.com and www.ibrillianz.in
  4. Set up sustained business in Australia

My motivations to work with a mentor

  1. Knowledge and experience of my mentors to help me set my goals and stick to the plan
  2. What to change and what not to change
  3. How to build my lost confidence and enthusiasm to re-build my cash crunched business
  4. How to make most of what I have - how to re-prioritize and stay motivated

About my venture

Asi Tattva Started 2017

We are primarily into kidswear from 0 to 13 years. Our clothing uses Indian and available child friendly textile in the market. Our style is urban bohemian and we use colorful fabrics, simple patterns and comfort clothing of kids. We have created multiple avenues on top e-commerce portals but, we are completely stuck in the backend management. E.g., lack of available skills with tailors, masters, inventory management( MS excel knowledge) and digital marketing.

So far I have invested all my savings and my property to fund the operations and scale up. However, the earnings are not equal to our expenses. We have lowered our monthly costs keeping head count minimal. As of now I haven't been able to break even, but we have made revenues but it is not upto the mark.

I am looking forward for tactical help in scaling up my e-commerce revenues and how to diversify the business so that we can have multiple sources of income. We have listed ideas but don’t know how to proceed. Finance, Sales, Marketing (Digital) and Production Management are our weak areas.

Countries of operation: India, Australia
