How I can help

My professional background

I've been running my company HD BROS. since 2012. We're a small marketing firm that specializes in serving real estate agents. I've performed a range of different roles for the company from business development, marketing, strategy, employee retention, etc. My current role is HR where I've been in charge of hiring, training, and developing our team.

My business is very dependent on managing human capital. We manage 35 employees/contractors who are out in the field every day performing our services. Ensuring we have the trained staff and systems developed for a scaling workload is something we do pretty well.

How to work with me

What I can offer

I'm knowledgeable in general business strategy, human resources, sales, marketing, hiring, managing employees, working with contractors, and a handful of other topics. I wouldn't call myself an expert in any one field, I think the nature of being a business owner is being able to do a lot of things good enough (until you can hire someone who does it better).

I'm a big problem solver. I like finding solutions and helping others succeed.

My expectations for a successful mentoring relationship

My goal is to help people solve problems and create a succesful business. I'm looking to mentor someone who is willing to learn and apply themselves. Running a business forces you to step outside of your comfort zone, so being willing to get uncomfortable is big.

How entrepreneurs can prepare before we start

Hard to say until I know what specific business problems need to be solved. I think spending time defining what your business does well and what it doesn't do well is important. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses as a business leader. I would have lots of prep questions depending on the entrepreneur and the industry.
