How to work with me
What I can offer
I can offer confidential, one-on-one sessions talking about the current business environment, technology strategy, marketing execution (specifically marketing technology and marketing automation), building strong, successful teams, and general business operations. I can help with your startup, vetting your concepts, identifying risks and helping mitigate potential issues. I love to talk about and overcome management (including project management) challenges.
My expectations for a successful mentoring relationship
I prefer to talk in a casual, conversational style. It's not necessary to use lingo or buzz-words, it's more important to communicate for understanding (i.e., plain English) and create a positive, useful experience. Conversations should be structured, but friendly and candid. Good, effective communication (including strong listening skills) are key to a productive relationship.
I'll do my best to help whether you're brand new or an experienced leader; don't be afraid to ask questions that you think might be basic or show ignorance; I don't judge, I just want to help. On the other side of the equation, please don't be presumptuous; it's much easier (and more effective) to work with someone who seeks understanding and knows there is always much to learn than it is to work with someone who is convinced they already know everything. Believe me, none of us know it all.
How entrepreneurs can prepare before we start
Come prepared. I'm not concerned with your experience level, knowledge, education, etc., as we have all started somewhere, but we'll both get the most out of it if you come with a list of questions to ask or a list of topics to discuss.
