How I can help

My professional background

With a diverse professional background that includes experience in the technology, sales, marketing, finance, and sustainable development sectors, I am a highly qualified candidate for mentorship. Throughout my career as a Communications Director, I have demonstrated excellent management and organizational skills, as well as a strong aptitude for creating engaging content. I have expertise in product marketing and management, particularly in the e-commerce industry, with a focus on marketing to ultra-high-net-worth clients and managing early-stage founders. I have also overseen the development of licensed content designed to help consumers make informed buying decisions, while guiding manufacturers towards creating more sustainable and equitable products. In addition to my professional experience, I have completed coursework in product marketing and management and project management, which has further enhanced my skills and knowledge in these areas.

In my volunteer work as the CEO of DB Connect, I have had several notable achievements, including securing more than 10 investors at the demo day of the Harvard University Alumni in Tech incubator and serving as a judge for the Black Ambition initiative, a $1 million prize established by Grammy award-winner Pharrell Williams. I have also been a key contributor to the success of UNICEF's International Day of the Girl, serving as a curator and social media creative strategist for Plan International. In my role on the Cybercrime Committee of the United Nations, I have represented the United States as a multi-stakeholder, working to formulate and design provisions for international cooperation, technical assistance, and preventive measures related to the use of information and communication technologies for criminal purposes.

I believe that my professional and volunteer experiences make me well-suited to serve as a mentor, and I am eager to share my knowledge and expertise with others. Please let me know if my background can be of assistance.

My expectations for a successful mentoring relationship

Talk about your career history Tracing out your career histories helps both of you understand where you came from, find common ground and build mutual respect.

What are you most proud of in your career? Did you think this is where you would end up? What's unique about your career approach compared to others? What used to be your biggest weakness? What stood out to you in their profile? Discuss highlights from each other's profiles that stuck out to you. As a mentee, this is your time to discuss specific goals, skills, and motivations. As a mentor, this is your opportunity to figure out how you might help your mentee grow.

What is your motivation for signing up for the mentorship program? What would you like to improve on next? What is your next big challenge? What do you hope to accomplish in 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, and 10 years? Ask about personal interests that intrigued you Schedule your next meeting
