I have been managing director of manufacturing plants and also operated sports facilities. I have designed I.t.systems and personal development programmes. Realistic problem solving is I believe a major strength. I also have a strong sense of pragmatic solutions involving a close focus on the core issues which clearly match resources with doable actions.

What I can offer
Manufacturing and sports/hospitality are my preferred areas. I feel I can develop people and get improved performance from them. Experience means I can often guide the way out of potential problems.
My expectations for a successful mentoring relationship
There needs to be a strong element of trust between entrepreneur and mentor. This can only be built up over time but requires open and honest conversations from the outset.
How entrepreneurs can prepare before we start
There will be some work required from the entrepreneur from the off. Prepare to commit to this work (usually 3 to 4 hours of your time, whilst you answer some business questions and work with me on a Business Plan) and trust that it has real importance as far as achieving your aspirations will be concerned.
Also, prepare to be asked to show that you can "walk" before trying to "run". We will "run" but only when the timing is right. Scalability is hugely important but must fit in with capabilities
