What do I need to do to be able to target the right people who needs my products and services to my instagram page

I have not been able to connect with the people who really needs my products/services despite my investment in running paid advertisement on instagram.

It is difficult to answer your question without knowing more about how you created your Instagram ad. What did you include in your ad copy? Did you include a caption with the image to get someone’s attention quickly? What hashtags did you use (if any) with your ad? Did you use several images (Carousel Ad) of the product so the person could see the entire product? How did you place the Instagram ad – Feed vs. Stories vs. Explore tab? Did you try running a Shopping Ad (allows for product descriptive links) vs. Photo / Image Ad? Did you use Facebook Ads Manager to create the ad (allows for targeting the right audience)? For example, one of your products is for babies. Therefore, I would think you would be targeting younger married women who live near you.

Because your products may be very different (baby chair vs. book shelf), you may need to run multiple ad campaigns and break-out your Instagram Page into segments. It can be very confusing if you are selling a wide range of used items from a single ad campaign / landing page. Also, Instagram may not be the best way to market some of your products. When I look at your profile, your business reminds me of people who hold yard sales to sell minor furnishings (tables, chairs, mirrors, dinner ware, etc.) over a weekend. They post signs in the local neighborhood and people looking for good bargains at low prices come by on-site and buy the item. Given the nature of your business – flipping a few furnishings locally, you might try a more direct and traditional approach. Posting signs with dates and times is very important to reaching people looking for a bargain. Placing ads in local publications can also help. You might also try Facebook Marketplace since this is considered to be the best social media platform for selling used furniture. Good luck.

Before you run a paid ad, you should first know the goal of the ad. If it's to launch a new product/service or to announce a discount sale. For your target audience you must consider Age and demographics. These can help you identify who and where your target audience are
