How can a troubled business recover?
I had a small garment and wholesale shop and it was growing well, but due to the sudden outbreak of civil war and other reasons, my business has suffered and I am at a loss as to what to do.

Greetings Tsigereda.
Sincere apologies from my end. I can relate to watching a venture you built so well come crashing down for reasons that weren't caused by you. Be strong.
First of all, I want to congratulate you. You're braver than most people. You're still in business, so you believe strongly there's a way out. That takes guts, that is what I call stubborn bravery. And I am always in awe of such show of tenacity.
I would like to say this... Having to rebuild isn't the same as building from nothing. Let me explain.
You have run your business successfully for a while, before it started crashing, which means you know what worked and what didn't work. You are familiar with the strategies that brought you more customers and more money and the ones that made you lose money.
With these prior understanding, you can rebuild.
I advice you to take some time to sit at the drawing board and come up with a fail-proof plan that incorporates the strategies that worked in the past and new ones you are convinced will work well, and effect them in your business as soon as you can.
Building takes time. But consistency is what makes you go from foundation to lintel to roofing.
It won't be easy but given the strength I can sense exuding from you, I believe you have all it takes to do this and be greater than what you were in the past.
I believe in you, and I know you'll be fine.👍🏾
I am sorry for the loss, please rewrite your plan and start small.
...is unfortunate you are paying a prize of inactions and ill-actions of government policies. In business there comes a time that some challenges beyond your control like war, inflation, ill-policy of government, pandemics, global recession etc crash down businesses. But most encouraging here is the war pulled your business down but you refused to stay down. And refused to play victim to challenges of life. I must sincerely tell you, that you have won half of your battle just by not giving up. Many would have giving up, others would have stayed down but not you. Now there are my advice: 1. Things won't be same again...things might have changed a bit. Be sincere with yourself. What is exact needs in your environment? Is very important you know. After a war sometimes people careless about clothing rather survival. 2. Maybe change is need. I am not saying you should change business but when you sincerely answer first question, consider the second. Don't just be in business just because you like the business, you there because of the demand. 3. Patience. Most time after war or pandemics it takes time to build back. Sometimes, there is little you can do at such times. 4. Add other items. Cheek others things that is needed in your environment. Don't depend on one only, desperate time need desperate measures. 5. Maybe you need new skills. You are in business to solve societal need and add value to peoples life. When your Goods or services are not in demand is either you change or the change will change you by forcing you out of business. So don't be afraid to improve on skill or add new skills again and again. 6. Cheek on your customers. Don't just wait for them to come to you like before. Probably when you reach out, you get to know why they are not coming or how the war affected them too. Now l guess you can now make an informed decision. Good luck
