There is no single answer to this question.however, general speaking before starting any business in Nigeria, you need to consider 3 major things, 1. Government policy (Nigeria government policy is not the best as at now, so this may affect many business choice, like mining or real estate as well as exportation and importation) 2. What need is your business going to feed. The Nigeria retail market is very wide and yet untapped, you need to be sure your business is solving a need and not supporting it. 3. How scalable is it. (E.g a business to sell the holy quaran will be more scalable in the northern part of Nigeria, compared to the eastern part)

Get it registered with CAC. Source for funds (the CAC registration can help you in getting bank and government sponsored loans) Get a website or a web page/social media presence (the internet has come to change the way business is done, being found online could be helpful) For other tips, send me a message and tell me about your business specifically.

The first thing you need to decide is WHY DO YOU WANT TO DO BUSINESS IN NIGERIA. When you understand WHY, it's then easy to navigate the operations.

Secondly, you need to check if your kind of business has enough market in Nigeria. It won't be wise to sell what people don't need.

Third thing to do is, start pushing out your values, products or services.

Have a good business Plan. Consider the environment if it is a target market before you invest. Always carry out a pre marketing Campaign to identify potential challenges and weigh your competitors

Omolodun, trust you are doing great. starting a business in Nigeria the first thing you considered is vision , you must have a vision of the problem you want to profer solution to and what you want to achieve in both short and long run. You research on trend of your profession to know it's demand. After been satisfied with the results , you then gather resources that will allow you to operate at full length then registered your business with CAC and reach out to prospective customers for patronage
