They’re very state specific, you’ll want to look and review HiPAA federal law as well as what local state and city professional licensing board (DOPL) has as requirements and licensing. Some require a CPM, others a NP on staff, others it’s next to unregulated thus I can’t give you a solid answer without hours of research myself as they don’t tend to post law details online (unfortunately). Look at your state guidelines because some states you don’t have to have a license for certain types of levels in having a recovery home. Also reach out to your state drug organizations to help with your guidelines an possibly help get funds to open one. Also make sure you are ready for that commitment it’s a lot of work and time.
