Hi Doug,

Cheap is of course a very relative term, but right off the bat I thought of Fiverr. There you can find freelance creators for different budget levels. Mileage will vary but there's plenty of competent art people around, especially in the current economy. Read their reviews, look at past work and take your pick. Just make sure to write a good brief as that will play a big role in getting the result you want!

Regarding rights they say: "On the Fiverr platform, buyers are granted all rights for the delivered work, unless otherwise specified by the seller on their Gig page."

Another similar service seems to be UpWork, but seems to be more hire by the hour. Have not used that myself but seems very professionally managed.

I agree with your overall intent and goal, but I think you're mistaken here.

1. I have myself zero financial or personal interest in either of the two services I referenced, and do not appreciate the suggestion that I would have violated any code.
2. We appear to have a different view on spam. Someone asking for a particular service being referred to just such a service is in my mind the opposite of spam, that is helpful information. The initial request was not for a free service.
3. Based on your interpretation this site may just as well block all outbound links at all because short of Wikipedia the amount of useful non-profit web resources are few and far between.

I appreciate your answer and believe your intent was not to violate any terms of the agreement. Your answer was valuable I went to the website you suggested and got 4 freelancers to work on my logo for under $50 so I can have a few options. Mentors like yourself are why I joined this forum.

Micro Mentor Customer Support is the authority on whether or not content reported by users as spam remains on this site. I have discussed this in detail with the management there and fully subscribe to their decisions.

Since the new version of this site was rolled out last year, it has had a very large volume of spammers due to the dynamic reach it has now attained.

As an 11 year member, I take a literal view of the rules here in an effort to promote dynamic, useful, non-profit and free exchanges assisting small business.

I think that having a great logo is very important in today's world because it helps people remember who your business is and what services or products you offer. I often use travel PowerPoint templates to make the logo impressive. It also makes them want more of what you have to offer so they can be successful.
