Anyone can get funding, but the approach used may be the deciding factor. For any entrepreneur I would suggest first of all building your social capital, in other words hunt for people first, before you ask for their money.

Learn to relate and fit in with reputable then you can know the weak spots to make them release money to you, because most people want to release their money according to the order in which they earned it.

Remember first impression is the last impression.
