Building a B2B Prospecting Team

Hi everyone,

I work at a small retail management firm that is doing well despite only having a single sales/marketing person on the team (me). I'm attempting to start with 2 freelancers to find new prospects through criteria and processes that I've detailed to them.

These freelancers are located outside the US but have plenty of experience with US employers.

I know that I can't grow the business on my own hours per day. I was wondering if someone has any hands-on experience building out a B2B team do handle these sorts of day-to-day, repetitive tasks.

Thanks!

I have built business development teams from the ground up. However, that was as a part of a large organization. I'm currently working with a smaller organization now and helping to do the same thing. Each of these businesses have been completely different and have required completely different approaches. There are some generic ideas that I can share. But, to really give you any actionable advice I'd need to know a great deal more about what you're doing and what you're actually selling. Some business development plans need to be highly localized, some don't. Some need to be heavily based upon networking. Others do not. I wouldn't want to give you advice that isn't helpful.
